Proof Trade Dollars
1878 T$1 PR64+ Cameo PCGS. CAC. Although some business strikes were produced at the branch mints, production of Trade dollars at the Philadelphia Mint was limited to 900 proof examples in 1878. This attractive, high-end Choice specimen displays frosty design elements with razor-sharp definition that contrast boldly against deeply mirrored fields. The surfaces show a few minor contact marks and wisps, but none are of any real importance. Population: 31 in 64 (1 in 64+) Cameo, 15 finer. CAC: 11 in 64, 7 finer (6/17).
