Watch List notes:

(1942) 1C Amber Glass Token, RB 42-70-T-1, R.8, MS64 NGC. 1.34 grams, 19.64 mm. (vertical), Specific Gravity 2.50. This yellow-amber token manufactured by the Blue Ridge Glass Corporation is closely related to the glass cent experiment. A rough edged circular token, this piece has overlapping capital letters AA on one side with the opposite blank. Spiral groves on each side are likely remnants of lathe cutting of dies. Both sides exhibit myriad bubbles and other irregularities. Roger W. Burdette notes: "This item is consistent with testing of manufacturing processes prior to production of glass company tokens."
