1869-S $5 AU50 PCGS Secure. A nominal mintage of 31,000 Liberty half eagles was accomplished at the San Francisco Mint in 1869 and the issue is scarce-to-rare in all grades today. This lightly worn and lightly abraded AU example offers pleasing orange-gold surfaces that retain traces of original mint luster. Population: 3 in 50, 15 finer (6/17).
