1909-D $10 MS63 PCGS. More than twice as many ten dollar gold coins were struck at San Francisco Mint compared to Denver facility in 1909. This Colorado issue (121,540 pieces) is more accessible in Mint State, but finer examples are quite rare. Satiny luster illuminates honey-gold surfaces that reveal considerable lavender-rose upon careful examination. Unquestionably smooth for the grade with softness limited to the forecurls and shoulder tip. Housed in a green label holder.
