Liberty Double Eagles
1851 $20 AU55 PCGS Secure. Ex: Collection Champagne Lanson. This coin, along with 496 other double eagles dating from 1851 to 1928, was discovered in an old bag in barn on the Lanson Winery property in Les Riceys, France. Interestingly, this was the earliest piece in the lot. Each side is green-gold with a hint of field reflectivity. Fully struck and partly lustrous with minimal blending over the highest points. A great second-year No Motto twenty with a pedigree to match.
