Liberty Double Eagles
1875 $20 MS62 PCGS. The eye appeal of this remarkably original 1875 double eagle is almost unbelievable for the MS62 grade level. Sharply struck design elements are set amid thickly frosted mint bloom that yields deep orange-gold and pale rose hues over vibrant cartwheel luminance. A few minor grazes on the obverse preclude a finer grade, but these are hardly noticed against the eye-catching patina.
