The rarely seen Wide CC reverse, this About Uncirculated 1876-CC double eagle is also significant for its original olive-gold patina that shows tinges of orange-gold luster in the protected regions of the fields. Surface abrasions are light and uniformly dispersed, posing limited distraction. A few small ebony discolorations appear on the central reverse and along the lower reverse rim.
