Liberty Double Eagles
1889-CC $20 XF45 PCGS. Variety 1-A. The mint at Carson City resumed coining operations in 1889 after a three-year break, striking Morgan dollars and double eagles is small quantities. The dollars are famous rarities in their respective series, while the double eagles, though more available, are still scarce and much in demand. This sharply struck green and red-gold twenty retains luster within the recesses. A couple of grease marks are noted on the reverse. Eye-appealing.
