Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1913-D $20 MS65 PCGS. The bulk of the Mint State 1913-D double eagle population is in the MS63 and MS64 grades. Gems are infrequently encountered with choice eye appeal, and anything finer than MS65 is a major rarity. This piece is satiny and boldly struck. The unaltered surfaces showcase beautiful orange-gold luster with accents of silvery-blue and rose-pink. A lack of abrasions lets the luminance glow without distraction. PCGS has seen only seven numerically finer representatives (6/17).
