1916-S $20 MS65 PCGS. CAC. The availability of the 1916-S double eagle declines sharply above MS65. This CAC-approved Gem will appeal to the budget-conscious Saint-Gaudens double eagle collector. The strike is sharp, and the frosty straw-gold surfaces yield rich original mint luster. The fields are largely clean, leaving only light marks on the devices to limit the grade. The 1916-S was the only double eagle issue produced that year.
