FRANCE. Exposition Universelle, Paris Medal Struck in Gold by J.C. Chaplain, 1878. Scallop Privy Mark on Edge. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder.
Approximately 50 mm. Maier-65. Laureate head of Ceres left, legend around; Reverse: Winged Genius of France flying right, holding wreath and trumpet, cherub below flying right holding tablet inscribed to Henry Disston, legend around and in exergue. Sharply struck as would be expected with lovely matte surfaces and good definition of the fine details and quite attractive as such. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder.
