GREAT BRITAIN. Trio of William Shakespeare 400th Anniversary of Birth, 1964. PCGS SP-66 & 67 Secure Holders.
57 mm. Eimer-2103a. By Paul Vincze. Set of three, struck in bronze, silver and platinum. Bust of Shakespeare to the right, his name above and: "THE SHAKESPEARE / BIRTHPLACE TRUST 1964 / 400TH ANNIVERSARY" below; Reverse: "WE SHALL NOT LOOK UPON HIS LIKES AGAIN / 1564-1964" surrounds a pair of nude figures reading a book with Comedy and Tragedy looking on. Original presentation case included. The set is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity noting that the platinum example is #50 out of a limited mintage of 50 medals. The bronze and platinum pieces are graded PCGS Specimen-66, and the silver piece Specimen-67. PCGS SP-66 (2) & SP-67 (1) Secure Holder.
