Issued. PAYABLE ONLY AT TEHERAN. These 20 Toman notes are exceptionally scarce in any state of preservation, and grade levels such as this bright Very Fine example are rarer. An elaborate BWC design in purple, red and multi-colored and overprinted seal, date and branch. Close inspection reveals only a few minor spots of handling and a small edge tear. This is one of just a few we have handled for the catalog number. This piece comes out of the prestigious Ruth Hill Collection. PCGS Very Fine 25.
