CHILE. Minor Silver Coinage, 1780-1812.
6 pieces in lot. A nice assembling including (1) 1/4 Real, (1) 1 Real, and (4) 2 Reales. The 1809 1 Real is quite interesting as it is a transitional type with the bust of Charles IV in the name of Ferdinand VII of which the latter was punched over the former on the die with evidence throughout that portion of the legend. The 2 Reales are represented with examples of each of the following bust types Charles III, Charles IV, Ferdinand VII with imaginary bust and with proper bust. A few have environmental damage and the 1 Real has been smoothed, otherwise a wholesome gathering. Close inspection of lot is recommended and will reward the diligent bidder. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. VERY GOOD to VERY FINE.
Estimate: $300.00- $400.00
