EGYPT. Order of the Republic Badge, ND (Established 1953).
Barac-unlisted; Wer-327. A cased set including the Badge and button-hole rosette. The gilt silver and enamel Badge 63 x 76 mm in the form of a ten-pointed star with a superimposed blue enameled five-pointed star with convex tips. At the center is a red enameled medallion with an Arabic inscription. The silver and silver gilt reverse is plain with Egyptian standard and maker's marks denoting .900 fine. The rosette is 10 x 16 mm and made of brass and multi-color silk fabric. A compartment is provided in the case for the ribbon, but the ribbon is no longer with the badge. The green leather case bears an applied Egyptian eagle, an Arabic inscription, and the numeral 3. All enamels complete and fully intact. A RARE order. EXTREMELY FINE.
