Below, naked Poseidon and a mermaid hold a plaque inscribed "MONACO 1903 / 1er Prix "NAVAHOE" / A Mr WATGEN". The reverse with winged Victory holding a laurel branch and providing guidance to a youth who is piloting an antique sailing ship. Edge inscribed with "ARGENT" and a cornucopia. Pale russet-gold surfaces enhance this classically-inspired medal. Housed in its original hinged presentation case. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
