GREAT BRITAIN. King George IV Medals, ca. 1820-30.
7 pieces in lot. Struck in silver, copper and white metal, ranging from 22 to 65 mm in diameter. One bears his youthful portrait and was struck on his ascendancy to Prince of Wales in 1811, the others are primarily Coronation Medals, including two examples of the Official Coronation Medal, Eimer-1146, in bronze. Also included is a 65 mm silver medal, Eimer-1192, of H. R. H. William Henry, the Duke of Clarence, as Lord High Admiral. The Duke was later to become King William IV.
