Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. AR Denarius (19mm, 2.88 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 200-201. Laureate head right / Septimius Severus standing left, holding patera over lighted tripod and reversed spear. RIC III 167a; RSC 599. Good VF, a few light scratches. Scarce reverse type.
