GREAT BRITAIN. Set of Three Battle of Britain 25th Anniversary Gold Medals, ND (ca. 1966).
40, 32 & 22 mm; 35.5, 17.95 & 8.3 gms. Eimer-unlisted. By Colley. Each with an overhead view of a Spitfire aircraft and Winston Churchill's famous statement: "NEVER IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN CONFLICT WAS / SO MUCH OWED BY SO MANY TO SO FEW" in two concentric lines around; Reverse: Defiant eagle within a wreath surmounted by a lion-topped crown, legend: "COMMEMORATING 25 YEARS BATTLE OF BRITAIN" around. Each medal is edge-numbered. Hallmarks on the reverse of each indicate manufacturer (Metalimport Ltd.), metal purity (18K), and year of manufacture (1966). Housed in presentation box of issue, with numbered Certificates of Authenticity. PROOFLIKE MINT STATE.
