CHINA. Five Piece Prestige Set, 2016. Panda Series, Shenzhen Mint. NGC MS-70 FIRST RELEASES.
Fr-unlisted; KM-unlisted; PAN-675a/679a. A matched set of brand new 10 to 500 Yuan gold Pandas. Authorized mintage of only 750 sets. Standing apart from their predecessors of the last fifteen years with the 20 Yuan gold piece being omitted and a 10 Yuan gold taking its place. Also of note these new Pandas have weights of 1, 3, 8, 15 and 30 grams as opposed to the ounce and fractions thereof used previously. The NGC inserts state that the 500 Yuan was one of the first 1,250 pieces struck, the 200 Yuan was one of the first 1,000 pieces struck while the 100, 50 and 10 Yuan state that they were one of the first 750 pieces struck. Garnering perfect grades on all pieces this set is quite attractive and displays no flaws in the mirror fields or frosted devices. Certificate of Authenticity serial #429.
