FRENCH INDOCHINA: AR 20 cents, 1895-A, KM-3a, Lec-195, by far the finest known specimen of the 20 cents dated 1895 (both types), razor sharp strike with light iridescent toning, PCGS graded MS66 Secure Holder, RR. Although the design & privy marks were unchanged, the slight reduction in weight (5.443g to 5.40g) meant that the heaviest issues were hoarded and the lighter used in general circulation. The more common type 1 1895-A sold at an auction in 2013 for $2585, but it was only MS63 by NGC (one MS64 is also known, only this piece higher).
Estimate: 2,750-3,250 USD
