Head of the deified Alexander the Great right wearing diadem and horn of Ammon / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛYΣΙΜΑΧΟY, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike in outstretched right arm, NOY above arm, KAΛ on throne, trident in exergue. This second century BC issue should not be confused with the later, and far more abundant, issues during the Mithradatic Wars, circa 100-86 BC. Only 8-10 specimens are recorded with the NOY mint mark, including two specimens in the Dobrich Museum in Bulgaria and a piece in the ANS collection in New York.
