CARIA. Cnidus. Ca. 350-320 BC. AR tetradrachm (25mm, 14.73 gm, 1h). NGC AU 4/5 - 3/5, Fine Style, edge marks. Timasiphronos (?), magistrate. Head of Aphrodite right, hair tied at back with band, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace, TE monogram behind neck / Forepart of lion right; [TIMA]ΣΙΦΡΟΝΟΣ to right [KNIΔIΩN] below. Unpublished with monogram on obverse and this spelling of magistrate, but cf. Ashton, The Hecatomnus Hoard 16a for one with a variant spelling and no obverse monogram. Extremely rare, possibly unique in this variant, with a gorgeous head of Aphrodite in superb style, struck in living high relief.
