D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Theodosius right, bust seen from front / VICTOR-IA AVGG, Gratian and Theodosius seated facing, holding globe between them; behind and between them, Victory standing with outspread wings, palm below, A - Q to either side, COM in exergue. RIC 40b (R3). Depeyrot 21/2. Paolucci 777. Extremely rare! Scuff on back of emperor's head, otherwise crisply executed, with pleasing matte surfaces.
