Pedro II 960 Reis 1832-R AU Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM385, Russo-517. A highly coveted, low-mintage date with mauve hues that nicely accentuate the steel-toned surfaces, and despite visible hairlines, bold motifs atop both sides that easily captivate the eye. Instances of planchet lamination are noted across the reverse, but as a whole, even with such impediments, this issue remains very collectible at all levels.
