Republic Volcano Peso 1819/8 SANTIAGO-FD MS61 NGC, Santiago mint, KM82.2. Deeply toned with flashy instances of blue-green, olive and gold patina mixed with rich gray color on both sides. A better date, and well-struck with the legends remaining clear and the central volcano and pillar designs being essentially complete. As a type, very scarce and rather desirable when found at the Mint State grade.
