An issue which we have not offered recently, this impressive taler features a deep cabinet tone and a hint of underlying luster. The reverse design is extremely interesting, with a knight on horseback, trampling upon three monstrous figures representing Gluttony, Greed, and the Catholic Church--the contemporary problems faced by 17th century Protestant Germany.
