Great Britain
Victoria gold "Inverted A" Sovereign 1860 AU55 NGC, Royal mint, KM736.1, S-3852D. Inverted "A" for "V" variety. An interesting selection with plenty of intriguing points, starting with the inverted "A" for the "V" in Victoria and with the shadow of a dropped "8" below the "8" in the date. The surfaces remain pleasing for the grade, while amber color brightens from the recesses. The SCBC gives a value of £2750 in VF, with no value in the higher grade levels, making this special, pedigreed offering quite the find.
