Zacatecas. War of Independence - Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1817 Zs-AG MS62 NGC, Zacatecas mint, KM111.5. Royalist issue. Part of a small hoard that turned up years ago and has since been dispersed, with shockingly fresh brightness retained in the fields and impressively crisp detail within the castle and lion motif in the reverse shield. Some striking bluntness, as is almost always present on this type, is observed on both sides.
