Republic gold 2-1/2 Pesos 1880/79 Mo-M MS63 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM411.5. Fully struck and reflective in the fields, with evenly spaced, soft marks on both sides that define the grade. As is the case with nearly all Mexican gold from this period, very elusive as a date due to its mintage that surely didn't surpass several hundred pieces. Presently, the only MS63 graded by NGC, with a single MS64 finer.
