Palo Seco. Leper Colony Token 10 Centesimos ND (1919) AU55 NGC, Philadelphia mint, KM-Tn3, MGM-701. An absolute stunner in breathtaking quality, this small denomination saw extensive circulation. Finding one so close to mint state, therefore, is extremely unusual. NGC has graded five specimens, with this piece being the highest graded--the other four all being graded VF. The McFadden example, a VF35, realized a hammer of $3,250 in our 2014 CICF auction (sale 3032, lot 25590).
