Catherine II Medals Sixty-piece bronze Historical set of Rulers, commissioned by Catherine the Great in the 1770's, the medals are 38-39mm. This set includes #1 through #60 and all appear to be originals. The last medal in the set is Emperor Paul I. All are AU-UNC, with none actually having wear, but some with handling marks. Also included is an interesting display board, made from some type of soft leather with slots numbered 1-60, beginning with Grand Duke Rurik and ending with Emperor Paul I. Looking at the back, which is rather crudely done, leads one to believe that this may be a home-made, and not an official board. A superb, and very rare set.
