ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 454-404 BC. AR tetradrachm (17.01 gm). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 4/5. Mid-mass coinage issue, 440-404 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with three laurel leaves and vine scroll / ΑΘΕ, owl standing right, head facing, olive sprig and crescent moon behind, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1597. SNG Copenhagen 32. Deeply struck on an angular flan, with deep gray toning and flashy blue iridescence.
