ROMAN EMPIRE: Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180). Lot of fourteen (14) AR denarii. Choice VF - Choice XF. An extremely attractive and diverse group from an old European collection. Includes several examples of Marcus as Caesar (AD 139-161). Reverse types include: PRIMI DECENNALES in wreath, Providentia with globe (3), Aequitas with scales (3), Victory seated left (2), Minerva standing (or advancing) right (2), Salus feeding serpent, Fides with fruit basket, nude Genius sacrificing. All well struck in good metal and nicely toned, with several approaching AU. SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
