ROMAN EMPIRE: Caracalla (AD 198-217), lot of ten (10) AR denarii. Nearly XF - AU. A diverse and attractive lot from an old European collection. With a variety of obverse bust types spanning his adolescence through mid-20s, reverses include: Virtus with parazonium (2), Sol standing left, Sol or nude genius standing left with scepter, Concordia (?) sacrificing, Mars standing left, Fortuna Redux standing left, Roma seated left with Palladium, Jupiter seated left with Victory, prince standing left in armor, captive at feet. All crisply struck in sound metal. SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
