KINGS of PERSIS. Vādfradād (Autophradates) I. 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 17.18 g, 9h). Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Head right, with mustache and earring, wearing diadem and kyrbasia / wtprdt (= "Vādfradād") in Aramaic down outer right, br [...] (= "son of [...]") in Aramaic down right of altar, prtrk' zy (= "fratarakā of") in Aramaic below fire altar, 'lhy' (= "the gods") in Aramaic up outer left, fire temple of Ahura-Mazda; above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda; to left, Vādfradād standing right, bow set on ground before; standard to right. Good VF, toned, deposits, graffito whslrt(?) in Aramaic in obverse field, slight double strike on reverse.
