A note from BCD: Almost impossible to find in the market either as offprints or as parts of the bulky archaeology volumes, these acquisition reports, mostly signed and/or dedicated by the curators E. Varoucha and M. Oeconomidou, illustrate the ancient coins acquired by the Athens cabinet during the 1960's and are therefore valuable in more than one way. Only three out of the 23 plates are non-numismatic.
