A note from BCD: A candid personal account of the time this famous – and very wealthy – collector spent in Greece, Turkey and the Middle East. He was lucky in that there was very little competition for high quality Greek coins and so he made the most of it, often buying groups or hoards rather than single specimens. The best pieces of his collection went to the ANS and are now published as SNG Burton Y. Berry.
