A note from BCD: The editorial board's collective preface bears the signature, among others, of Otto Mørkholm, the man who would succeed Galster and whose love for Greek numismatics would transform the Copenhagen cabinet to a haven of hospitality and kindness for anyone interested in the discipline, regardless of whether he was an established name or a complete nobody. Unfortunately, he left this world too soon but he will always be remembered, together with his colleague Colin Kraay, with whom he shared a memorial volume.
