MONOGRAPHS. Svoronos, J.N. Synopsis de Mille Coins Faux du Faussaire C. Christodoulos. Athens 1922. Large 8vo (18x26cm), original illustrated card covers; 16 pages, 17 plates (A-Q). Covers slightly bent, ink dedication on top right. Good to Very Good. CS 3600, Daehn 1720
A note from BCD: "To my dear friend A(lexander) Romanos", signed: I. Svoronos. A poignant reminder of relationships that today are frowned upon as "not politically correct". Alexander Romanos was a distinguished diplomat and a well-known collector of Greek coins. His impressive collection is still with his descendants and this writer has had the rare privilege to consult it on more than one occassion.
Estimation: € 40
