A note from BCD: Two very important for their time catalogues bound together. It would be instructive to contemplate the names of the big buyers of the Northwick sales, but we would also need to know who was bidding for what institution or which collector. What we know is that many of the most important pieces appeared again, this time photographed, in Sotheby sales towards the end of the century and in the early 1900s.
Estimation: € 50
