A note from BCD: The glossy photographs taken from the original plates are almost as good as the original in terms of clarity and sharpness. They allow us to marvel at the magnificent selection of high-powered Greek coins this tireless and gifted man was able to amass in such a short time. A year and a month after his sudden passing at the age of 50, his Greek coins, a collection formed in the course of just seven years, came up for sale. One wonders what the collection would be like if he had lived to a ripe old age.
