A note from BCD: An extensive offering of Roman coins of more than 600 lots, with a few Byzantine at the end, is described towards the end of the catalogue and illustrated on 22 fine plates. The rarities were keenly sought after with a very attractive and clear Nero sestertius with the port of Ostia reverse being the most expensive coin bringing a hammer price of 17000 Guilders on an estimate of 12500.
