PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Uncertain satrap. Early 4th century BC. Æ (9.5mm, 1.01 g, 11h). Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor. Bearded head right, wearing satrapal headdress / Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear and bow; three pellets to inner right. Winzer 10.1 (Tiribazos, Sardes mint); Cahn, Tissaphernes 9 (Tissaphernes); Babylon, Traité II, 54 (Tissaphernes, mint in Caria). VF, green-brown patina, some roughness. Rare.
