Australia Queensland National Bank Limited £1 1.10.1877 Renniks MVR2b Specimen. Australia was home to a substantial number of note issuing private banks. Headquartered in Brisbane, the Queensland National Bank Limited opened in 1872 and was taken over by the National Bank of Australasia (now the National Australian Bank) in 1948. This large format blue and black £1 note also has an attractive red and blue back with a large central vignette depicting St. George slaying a dragon.
