DC-9b $2 1878 Toronto. An attractive PCGS Very Fine 25PPQ note. Only one DC-9b has been graded higher by both PCGS and PMG and it is a PMG 30. This closely reflects the information found in the 2013 Canadian Paper Money Society Note Registry. That census lists 21 serial numbers for DC-9b and that does not include the note in this lot. Five of the 21 notes grade Fine or better, but three of those are locked away in the National Currency Collection or in another institutional collection. If you include tonight's offering, that leaves a grand total of three that grade Fine or better in private hands that are available for collectors. HID08701242017
