Finland Helsingfors Draft Deposit and Loan Bank 75 Kopeks 1824 Pick A26. A small change note that should not be overlooked! The third party holder indicates the issuer is Helsingfors, the Swedish name for the city of Helsinki, but the issuer is actually Storfurstendomet Finlands Waxel-Depositions och Lane-Bank (Grand Duchy of Finland Draft Deposit and Loan Bank). This note with the double headed eagle (the coat of arms of the Duchy) is of the Assignat issue, which included small denominations from 20 Kopeks to 2 "Rubel." The last record this cataloger could find of this note at auction was a Fine 12 note, which realized $2,089 in April 2012. With no other appearances of this note in half a decade, this pleasing example may very well realize more. PMG Very Good 10 Net, tape repaired, paper damage.
