Iraq Government of Iraq 1/2 Dinar 1931 ND (1942) Pick 17a. A rare note grading PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ. PMG has graded only one Pick 17a higher with none equal. The higher example is only five grade points more than tonight's offering. That other note has not crossed the auction block recently. However, a PMG 30 did bring $5,400 earlier this year. As we further study PMG's statistics on this number, we notice that the note in this lot is the only one of 22 graded to have earned the coveted EPQ grade modifier.
