Cyprus Government of Cyprus 1 Shilling 1.3.1920 Pick 14s Specimen. TDLR was ordered to design and print a series of 1 and 2 Shillings notes in 1920 in response to a chronic coin shortage in Cyprus. This short lived series was withdrawn and demonetized in 1922. This rare Specimen is stamped as such in the lower right margin and has a solid zero serial number. It is also perforated CANCELLED. PMG grades this example Extremely Fine 40, noting that the note was previously mounted. Extremely rare and the only Specimen format of this design to be offered at auction with a previous appearance in 2016 by this same note. HID08701242017
