Cyprus Government of Cyprus 10 Shillings 2.1.1936 Pick 17s Specimen. Issued between 1933 and 1936, this 1936 dated note design was placed in circulation as a stop gap measure after King Edward VIII abdicated the throne on December 11, 1936. Although King George V was already dead when this note with this date was actually issued, it was predated to eighteen days before his death, 2.1.1936. PMG About Uncirculated 50; a Specimen that has a solid zero serial number and is perforated CANCELLED. An extremely rare Pick number with only two previous auction appearances in any form.
